October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to prevention through increasing awareness of breast cancer issues, especially the importance of early detection and treatment.
MegaFood has partnered with Hi-Health in supporting this cause. We will be donating 1% of MegaFood products sold during the month of October in their 55 stores throughout Arizona. In addition, beautiful MegaFood gift baskets will be donated to raise funds all across the country.
You can participate by encouraging a friend, loved one, or even oneself to make an appointment for a mammogram. You might consider reviewing your diet and eliminating unhealthy, processed foods. Perhaps you could research recipes that support breast tissue health and develop a long term healthy breast protocol that you can share with your friends and family. Why not consider becoming an NBCAM Program Leader in your community? A Program Leader is anyone who spreads the word about the importance of early detection for breast cancer. NBCAM programs can be created in clinics, medical centers, work sites, nonprofit and community centers, shopping malls, places of worship, schools, private homes and other places where people gather. Program Leaders come from all walks of life and include community volunteers, health professionals and breast cancer survivors.
To do our part in spreading awareness of this important issue, we have created a special button which depicts a MegaFood heart with a pink ribbon tied around it. This is a symbol to show MegaFood's support for our mothers, sisters and daughters in their quest for true health.
