Let’s get real about sugar. For years in our industry, we decided that it was OK to cover the vitamins and minerals we were giving our kids in a sugary gummy bear or chewable candy. It’s candy! The leading children’s chewable multivitamin gives each child an additional 1.5 tsp. of sugar every day. That adds up to an additional cup of sugar each month for the child!
I want to ask you, what kind of message are we sending to our kids by sugar coating their multivitamin? Are we giving them the credit they deserve by offering them a different, healthier choice?
At MegaFood, we believe in kids, we believe in change, and we believe we can do things differently.
That’s why we offer Kid’s One Daily. It was designed by a mom for real kids, getting real about no sugar in their multivitamin. My son takes it every night. He loves to talk about the whole foods that are in his little tablet: blueberries, cranberries, brown rice, oranges, and broccoli. It’s real food in a kid approved easy to swallow tablet.
I believe that kids 5 yrs. and up out there can make this switch to a healthier choice.
We often talk about setting the foundation for a lifetime by the patterns that our children develop - and here is a perfect opportunity.
