MegaFood sources our ingredients globally, and upholds all suppliers to the same code of conduct, which you can learn more about here.  In certain situations one country may be the sole country where a certain ingredient is available, as is the case with the ingredient melatonin as of March 2023. As a certified B Corporation, we continually evaluate our partnerships and sourcing to ensure they align with our commitments and values to our people and our planet.   

While MegaFood uses certified organic ingredients, not all of our finished products are certified.  Instead, we prioritize sourcing Non GMO and test all materials and products for over 125 herbicides and pesticides, including glyphosate. We were actually the first supplement brand to have its entire portfolio certified Glyphosate Residue Free by the Detox Project.  

All MegaFood products undergo a variety of testing, including heavy metals, contaminants, yeasts, mold, identity, and potency verification.

We operate an ISO9001 certified laboratory and work with third-party analytics for additional testing and result verification. 

Yes! All MegaFood products are tested for heavy metals including lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic. 

MegaFood supplements are formulated with real food ingredients that are grown in soil where lead is found naturally. This means that MegaFood’s supplements will contain a low level of lead, well below limits defined by scientific experts. The average lead level of MegaFood products is < 0.5 micrograms per serving, well below standards defined by experts as shown in the information below:
