Chai_latteThis wholesome combination of balancing foods, which create a nourishing breakfast drink, was supplied by Mita Shah - yoga instructor and supporter of MegaFood in London, England.  Thanks for sharing such a great treat Mita!

This latte will provide essential amino acids for complet protein, essential fatty acids, fiber, probiotics, digestive enzymes and a range of protective antioxidants.  All in all, it will help to maintain balanced blood sugar levels and consistent energy levels, as well as supporting overall digestive health.

Recipe:

Almonds (about 7per person)  plus a teaspoon each of sunflower, pumpkin seeds, black sesame and hemp seeds – soak overnight with pinch of salt.  Rinse through a sieve in morning

Porridge oats (1/4 cup per person) – soak overnight with pinch of salt.  Rinse through a seive in the morning.

Chywanprash (Ayurvedic Herb Jam) - Optional

1 Teaspoon of raw organic cocao powder

Powdered cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, saffron – just a pinch

1 scoop of Organic Chai Pure Food  per person

6-8 oz of water per person.

Blend for about 4 mins in a high speed blender....enjoy....
