Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art
(Stahlbush Island Farms)
The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) is the sole accredited academic museum in the state of Oregon, located at the University of Oregon. Through its engaging exhibitions, significant collections of historic and contemporary art, and exciting educational programs, JSMA continues a long tradition of bridging international cultures. With a vision of becoming one of the finest university art museums in the world, it offers a welcoming destination for discovery and education centered on artistic expression that deepens the appreciation and understanding of the human condition.
The museum’s varied activities extend services to a broad audience, from museum professionals to artists to scholars. Their collaborative opportunities are central to learning and building diverse audiences, with one example being the Art & Healthy Eating curriculum: a program inviting young children to explore the relationship between sustainability, food and art.
The work of artist Karla Chambers, owner/operator of Stahlbush Island Farms, is incorporated into the curriculum, inspiring involved students not only to embrace creating art for expression, but also to select a healthier plate when making decisions about eating.
We at MegaFood are proud to support the Art & Healthy Eating curriculum of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.
A portion of the profit from the following products (that just so happens to contain Stahlbush beets!) will be donated to benefit this program:
