Senior Financial Analyst

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with annual and quarterly forecasting
  • Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models 
  • Responsible for monthly reporting of results including variance explanation and research
  • Field ad-hoc accounting inquiries from business partners including providing technical accounting guidance
  • Responsible for full cycle accounting process including journal entries, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements within established schedules

REQUIREMENTS:

Manufacturing Associate (Packaging) - 3rd shift

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

  • Ensures the packaging line is set up properly using the photo standard.
  • Follows and comprehends written instructions/requests. Must be detail oriented, accurate and able to work independently
  • Assists with shipping product
  • Performs annual inventory for the packaging materials

Product Development Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

The Product Development Specialist, reports to the Director of Product Strategy and a key member of our  New Product Development team. The Product Development Specialist will conduct proprietary market research,  overall analysis of market, category, competitive environment, trends and a consumer-centric view and application of MegaFood nutrients and supplements.  Works cross-functionally to create business cases, project scopes and critical new product documentations following our stage gate process with accountability through our Project Management team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and develop new product concepts and business cases to support 18 month pipeline and brand strategic plans.
  • Take the lead on product renovations that require new ingredient(s) and/or formulations as an introduction to MegaFood nutrients and formula approaches. Content development and claim substantiation for new products and associated labelling. Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to ensure new products/ingredients meet brand pillars and quality requirements from ideation to finished product.
  • Manage and track KPIs for new product performance against business case. Conduct post-launch autopsy to evaluate/improve internal processes, product experience, forecast accuracy, quality and overall market response. KPI monthly tracking for the first 18 months of a product life and generate reports for monthly MegaFood leadership meetings.
  • Lead in generating all preliminary and working forecasts to support business cases and operational commercialization.
  • Quarterly evaluation and reporting of product sales to identify where products/category performance is relative to market place and product life cycle.
  • Responsible for product ideation and consumer insights

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Natural products industry experience with speciality in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals or functional foods is preferred.
  • Experience in product development or new product marketing plan/execution.
  • An understanding of  best practices in labeling and marketing of supplements is preferred.
  • Established track record and proficiency in bringing new products  to market.
  • Understands the concepts and what it takes to bring a product to market
  • Strong verbal communication, analytical and writing skills.
  • Project management and proven ability to oversee and execute on several projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in qualitative and quantitative analysis of product sales, market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related major.
  • 2-3 years experience in product development ideation, concept development and business case rationale for consumer packaged goods, preferably in the realm of health and wellness.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for directing corporate-wide compliance with all applicable laws and regulations affecting the labeling, advertising and composition of products made for foreign and domestic markets.  Proactively anticipate company risk and manage regulatory claims to a successful resolution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provides direction to the Regulatory team to ensure that existing and new products and new and existing campaigns comply with all applicable domestic and foreign laws, rulings and regulations affecting the use of ingredients, labeling and advertising and claims usage.
  • Partners with Marketing and Sales on product concepts, claims and formulations to assure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including without limitation in the case of domestic products FDA and FTC requirements.
  • Directs the development of and assesses the impact of new and proposed changes in laws, rulings, regulations and enforcement activities impacting the use of ingredients, product safety, labeling and advertising.  Submits comments on proposed changes to regulatory agencies as deemed appropriate. Communicates new requirements and changes within the organization, and assures compliance.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses potential patent and trademark issues in conjunction with in-house legal counsel.
  • Directs the team in managing foreign product registration requirements.
  • Assists Legal Affairs in researching and responding to issues related to litigation and other legal matters, as needed.
  • Coaches, mentors and develops the Regulatory Team.
  • Manages the departmental budget

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • Requires a four year college its equivalent, preferably in the physical or life sciences. Master degree a plus.
  • A certification from Regulatory Affairs Professional Society is a plus.
  • Requires at least  8-10 years experience in Regulatory Affairs experience in the dietary supplement, food, beverage or related industry.
  • Proven leadership experience required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to the manufacture and marketing of dietary supplements, food or beverage

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates and supervises all work performed within the department, including the assignment and utilization of labor, equipment and materials to support fulfillment. Ensures that the department is running within company policies and procedures.
  • Manages all outbound logistics (LTL traffic)
  • Responsible for daily and weekly team metrics reports
  • Reviews and seeks methods to improve and increase productivity, and eliminates wasteful practices.
  • Reviews, updates and documents all departmental processes (SOPs)

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for leading the establishment and management of sourcing strategies and supplier relationships.  Will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and leading the selection process for the appropriate contract manufacturing companies (and sites) and raw material suppliers to support company growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct team to ensure sourcing is performed in a timely and cost efficient manner.
  • Responsible for the framework used for Category Management and Strategic Sourcing.
  • Drive the use of best practices and standardization of category management and sourcing processes.
  • Measure team effectiveness against established performance metrics.
  • Develop negotiation strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Implement supplier agreements by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach  agreement on contract terms and conditions.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for key ingredients.
  • Lead market intelligence strategy and tools to profile, benchmark, research and assess supply markets.
  • Proactively seek new sources for packaging components, raw material ingredients and technologies to support product innovation team projects.
  • Maintains professional relationships with Co-Manufacturers and Suppliers to maximize service and collaboration.
  • Ensures selected vendors are aligned with MegaFood quality expectations while adhering to timely delivery of products.
  • Establish a strong working relationship with the Operations team.
  • Lead team in managing vendor agreements and contracts 
  • Actively manage and communicate forecasts to the sites and manage capacity planning.
  • Oversight of the management SOPs for incoming new raw materials, packaging components, finished products, etc.
  • Works with cross-functional teams in the development of appropriate specifications for on time development of new raw materials and/or products.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a BA/BS degree with a minimum of 8-10 years supply chain/sourcing experience, or relevant experience working for manufacturing and/or consumer Packaged Goods Company.
  • Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing requirements, organic and non-gmo standard and quality testing specifications.
  • A strong understanding of business growth through the product development process.
  • Experience in supply chain sourcing for natural food, dietary supplements or HABA, preferred.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Leads all aspects of quality performance for contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and packaging suppliers. Supports continuous improvement activity of internal operations (Nutrient Processing, Manufacturing, Packaging,
Warehouse and Fulfillment) through project management, training, and auditing. Influences external and internal personnel to adopt good manufacturing practices and own quality control operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  •  Lead qualification of new co-manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Resolve quality issues with co-manufacturers and suppliers and maintain day to day performance.
  • Build relationships with supply chain partners leading to collaboration and synergies that drive long-term success.
  • Develop metrics for tracking of co-manufacturer and supplier performance, and leadscontinuous improvement initiatives and corrective action processes.
  • Perform quality system audits of contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) for co-manufacturers and suppliers.

User Interface (UI) Designer

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

As part of MegaFood’s Digital Marketing Team, and in collaboration with the IT and Marketing Communication teams, you will create the front-end visual design for a new website as well as implement design and layout features. Effective collaboration with web developers, UX designers, and external brand agencies will be essential. You are a professional who finds motivation in communicating through beauty, hierarchy, clarity, and systems. You exercise your impeccable taste, understanding of brand strategy and systems, and your eye for detail to create pin-worthy digital experiences. You are a catalyst for visual innovation. You know how to establish a variety of visual styles and see them through to the last detail, while always keeping the right people in the loop.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Design infographics, data visualization, email campaigns, websites, landing pages, blog visuals, icons and vector illustration.
  • Design the look and feel for web pages including layout and page structure, based on strategic direction and ease of use
  • Use programming and a content management system as required to build web page content on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform.
  • Design the look and feel for email templates and campaigns
  • Adhere to organizational branding principles and a digital style guide within your visual design
  • Coordinate with Marketing & Communications team on visual design, branding and content
  • Collaborate with web developers, agency partners and IT Project Manager  
  • Collaborate with Creative Services  team members
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing team to consistently apply SEO best practices to UX design
  • Participate in planning and design meetings, and review your work with the larger team
  • Assist in language-accessibility tactics as needed
  • Assist in universal design tactics as needed
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and design patterns

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with front-end web design and development
  • Experience developing in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (ISML/Pipelines) is required
  • HTML, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite, and Content Management Systems
  • Knowledge of Visualforce a plus
  • Experience in tactics for language accessibility and universal design
  • Experience in mobile-first design
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and managing to deadlines
  • Excellent eye for visual communication
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and drive
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility and a good sense of humor
  • Experience developing in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (ISML/Pipelines) is a plus
