Manufacturing Associate (Packaging) - 3rd shift

MegaFood is looking for a third shift packaging operator, to join our amazing team! 

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

  • Ensures the packaging line is set up properly using the photo standard.
  • Follows and comprehends written instructions/requests. Must be detail oriented, accurate and able to work independently
  • Assists with shipping product
  • Performs annual inventory for the packaging materials
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This includes lifting trays from bins above shoulders
  • Must be able to push/move product on wheels over 100 lbs
  • Must be able to stand long periods of time
  • Consistently promotes and maintains a harmonious/productive team effort
  • Contributes to the department team effort by helping the team achieve the results needed
  • Reports to work on a daily basis to meet customer and production goals, as well as comply with company attendance policy

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifies and check materials for weighing.
  • Verifies that the correct materials and the correct lots are being pulled.
  • Weighs and blends all material needed. Accurately completes all corresponding documentation.
  • Loads mixer and blends material for required amount of time.
  • Labels and moves product to next workstation (presses).
  • Operates equipment to move materials.
  • Empties mixture into proper container.
  • Accurately weighs completed formulas.
  • Operates theTablet Press, Coater and Granulator.
  • Must be able to compute measurements and verify results.
  • Must be able to read measurements and accurately document in production logs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of raw material and climb up ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to push and wheel cones of raw materials over 100 pounds.

Regulatory Specialist

Responsible for day-to-day regulatory functions including dietary supplement labeling and marketing material review, claim substantiation and international export support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain positive rapport and working relationships within and across departments, including Marketing, in relation to promotional issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations and policies enforced by the Federal (FDA, FTC, CPSC) and State (Prop 65) and Foreign (as required to service sales) governments as they relate to dietary supplements and assist the Director of Regulatory Affairs in establishing procedures to assure compliance with these requirements.
  • Assure regulatory compliance of all Marketing materials including, promotional materials and labeling.
  • Responsible for reviewing dietary supplement product labels and labeling including marketing materials for regulatory compliance.
  • Keep abreast of industry changes relating to advertising and promotion, being familiar with new Guidance for Industry.
  • Work closely with legal counsel to understand and interpret new guidance and interpretation and communicate positions to the executive team.
  • Manage Regulatory projects as assigned by the Director of Regulatory Affairs including organizing Health Canada product submissions and approvals and the subsequent coordination with the New Product Development (NPD) Team for labeling purposes.
  • Ability to obtain and monitor third party certifications such as Non-GMO Project Verified, USDA Organic and NSF Gluten-Free, especially when working with both established and new co-manufacturers.
  • Work with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Sales, and Legal Departments, in support of initiatives and process and review of promotional materials and the New Product Development Team (NPD) and review of new product labeling.
  • Support development of launch materials/new claims by collaborating with Marketing, Regulatory and Legal.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4-6 years directly related experience
  • Experience with dietary supplement labeling guidelines preferred
  • Experience with leading third-party certifications required
  • FDA and FTC experience preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree in science required
  • A Master’s of Science in Regulatory Affairs preferred
  • RAC certification preferred
  • Must be extremely detail & deadline oriented; well organized.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Conscious interpersonal skills; ability to interact with staff on all levels.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision

Material Handler: 2nd shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

This position will be responsible for all facets of work in the raw material warehouse, including, but not limited to: physical and systematic raw material movements, inbound and outbound material movements and supporting the manufacturing departments.  This position will also support the Inventory Control team by performing cycle counts of our products, researching inventory variances, and entering adjustments in the perpetual inventory, all while respecting company system transaction policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Build raw material kits for Manufacturing departments
  • Perform daily cycle counts, entering necessary inventory adjustments in the perpetual inventory system
  • Check received items against packing list and record discrepancies
  • Data entry of receipts, stockroom, and shipped items
  • Document incoming and outgoing material and supplies
  • Must follow prescribed procedures for safeguarding, storage, handling and accounting for item and material designated as classified, restricted, special project, or high priority
  • Follows and comprehends written instructions/requests
  • Communicates inventory concerns with Inventory Control, Fulfillment, Production Planning & Manufacturing departments
  • Assists in monthly and year end physical inventory activities
  • Contributes to the company’s and department’s Safety goals and initiatives by following all company safety policies and practices while effectively communicating any concerns

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
 

  • Knowledge of plant operations (manufacturing & maintenance), as well as, familiar with cGMP’s and safety regulations
  • Inventory Control experience required including performing cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Highly detail orientated with excellent organizational skills
  • Able to communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Familiar with computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Good organizational skills to track both paper and electronic files 
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Will be required to use pallet jack or forklift as needed
  • May be required to move between buildings

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Customer Experience Representative will assist by interacting with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products, services and orders. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    
 

  • Works directly with customers via incoming calls, faxes, website and emails
  • Responds promptly to customer inquiries, special requests and technical questions
  • Processes new accounts, orders, forms, applications, credit maintenance and requests
  • Performs customer verifications, maintain professional licensing documentation
  • Maintains customer information (call tags, invoices, credits, returns, etc)
  • Handles and works to resolve customer complaints
  • Obtains and evaluates all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
  • Directs requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
  • Manages active customers' accounts
  • Keep records of customer interactions, inquiries, transactions and complaints with details on actions take
  • Follow up on new accounts and inquiries
  • Communicates and coordinates with internal departments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-4 years customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent Word and Excel skills
  • The ability to multi-task with frequent interuptions
