Reviews

Awesome

"Im currently pregnant and I’ve tried I lot of prenatal vitamins. Mega food has been my favorite one! It doesn’t make me sick and I like that it’s made with natural foods and ingredients."

Valeria C. (5/5)

Perfect Size!

"I am not pregnant, but I cannot swallow the large Megafood multivitamins. I have to cut them in thirds to swallow them and they taste horrible and have rough edges that don't feel good going down. These prenatal minis are perfect! I can swallow them without any issues, which is very rare for me. I have a really hard time swallowing pills. If I put a little water in my mouth, then add the mini vitamin, then more water, I can swallow these down no problem. I only take two per day because I am not pregnant and just need a basic multi. I'm very happy with these."

THE BEST!

"I was taking these vitamins for a year and I decided to try another brand and I came right back to Megafood! I trust their products and always have a great customer service experience! Thank you!!!"

Kayla (5/5)

I recommend all moms to

"I recommend all moms to Take this supplement. Both Choline and Folic Acid are in this supplement and most of other supplements don't have choline."

Mika T. (5/5)

Pill size

"Looking into these prenatals minis, can I cut these in half to be easier to take? I really struggle to take any pill size"

Samantha p. (4/5)

I loved these pills, I

"I loved these pills, I did have to crush them because they were still a bit big for me."

Lorena H. (5/5)

I have used this prenatal

"I have used this prenatal along side the Baby & Me DHA and choline for both of my pregnancies and have had nothing but a great experience! Nothing beats ensuring your body has what it needs with real foods. I recommend this brand to every mommy to be that I meet."

Shelbi H. (5/5)

Perfect

"Easy to swallow, doesn't smell weird, not expensive to afford every month, and it contains choline, which other prenatal vitamins don't have. Awesome!"

Mika T. (5/5)

Happy with these prenatals

"I have taken these throughout my pregnancy, during breastfeeding, and now while preparing for another pregnancy. They are easy on my stomach and have the clean ingredients I’m looking for. The mini size is perfect for me to take."

Q&A

Are the ingredients in the Food Blend at the bottom of the label (organic brown rice, organic orange, carrot, organic broccoli, and cabbage) considered flavonoids?
All of the foods in this food blend have naturally occurring flavonoids which are a large family of polyphenolic plant compounds.
Can you make this in a smaller tablet (smaller than the minis) or a powder? Having trouble swallowing these. Thanks!
Great question. Thank you for reaching out. This is the smallest tablet size, you can crush or break these to make them easier to take. They will be just as effective as taking them whole, though please note that palatability may be a concern, especially with an iron formula.
How many mcg of folate is in this vitamin. Can you help clarify what 1020 DFE means?
In May of 2016 the FDA published new rules in nutrition labeling of foods and dietary supplements, which went into effect as of January 2020. Previously, folate was declared in micrograms (mcg) but in accordance with the new rules, folate is now declared in mcg of DFE, which stands for Dietary Folate Equivalents. Although labels have been updated to comply with the new FDA rules, the formula has not changed. With the new rules, for instance, in Baby & Me 2, 600 mcg of L-5-MTHF is equivalent to 1020 mcg DFE. The Daily Value (DV) for folate for pregnant and lactating women is 600 mcg DFE. Therefore, with 1020 mcg DFE, the product meets 170% of the DV.
Why the prénatals have such a high amount of biotin? I want to buy them because it has all the nutrients but I feel that biotin amount is exaggerated and I know that too much can be detrimental for baby too. Can you explain why is biotin over 800% needed? Thank you
Before 2020, the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) for Biotin was 300 mcg (100% DV). The latest recommendations, however (according to the NIH ODS) set the Adequate Intake (AI) of biotin for adult men and women (including pregnancy) to 30 mcg, and 35 mcg for lactation. Therefore, 300 mcg now delivers 1000% DV. That being said, no upper limit has yet been determined for biotin, and it is considered safe at this potency. Note: Biotin may interfere with lab tests. If you are taking medication or planning to undergo lab testing, consult your physician before use.
Can all 4 be taken at once in the morning? The instructions don't specify. Or should the total of 4 be taken one by one throughout the day. Thank you in advance!
The suggested use is 4 tablets daily, and they may be taken anytime throughout the day, even on an empty stomach. Ideally, we recommend two tablets twice daily, however, the most important thing is to ensure you're getting the full serving size. For this reason, some opt to take them both at once to ensure they don't miss one.
